Description of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania is a work on the history of Lithuania, Poland, and the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth until 1697 by Bernard O’Connor (~1666–1698), Irish medic, historian, and personal doctor of the Ruler of Poland and Lithuania Jan Sobieski. It introduces the governmental order of the state and the process of electing kings. The book was first published in London in 1698. In 1700, a German translation was published in Leipzig. The book is illustrated with a portrait of the Ruler of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth Augustus II, and an engraving depicting the Sejm.
