3rd: Map of the Kingdom of Poland, Grand Duchy of Lithuania and their provinces. By Thomas Kitchin, 1784. The map was drawn after the First Partition of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1772. The treaty signed by Russia, Prussia, and Austria on 5 August 1772 states that Russia receives the eastern part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania up to Daugava and Dnieper: the Voivodeships of Polotsk, Vitebsk, and Mstsislaw, the eastern part of the Voivodeship of Minsk, and the Voivodeship of Livonia. Prussia occupies Pomerania, and Austria takes a large part of Poland with Lviv. Lithuania and Poland lost around 30 % of their territory.
