Binding: well preserved near contemporary full vellum, gilt spine with title in gilt in top compartment, spines with gilt frame and gilt Coat-of-Arm in middle, all edges gilt.

The three works are normally in one volume. The first  work is divided in two sections, "Rerum chronologicarum commentarii", with essays, and "Canon chronicus succionctus", with the chronological charts. The first section incudes Nicolaus Mulerius' "Diatribe eruditissima de annis arabicis, & eorum (pp. 115-130). It includes chapters of almost all countries and their history, from the ancients and the migration period to the present, including "Tempora Sinarum, quos Chinas hodie dicimus & scribimus", "Tempora Mahometaniarum in Oriente" etc. Ubbo Emmius (1547-1625), was professor of history and Greek and eventually he became the first rector magnificus of the Academy at Groningen.

Provenance: From the libraries of Carl Aurivillius, with his signature dated Uppsala 1775, and Olof Andersson Knös, Uppsala 1787. With the owners signature of Karl von Rosenstein. The first title leaf with an in ink erased signature dated 1664.
